Earring Bonanza!

I don't quite know why I love earrings so much more than any other piece of jewelry, but I do! Maybe it's because you can wear them no matter what kind of collar you have on. Or because you they can be over the top and big and yet still make a simple statement. Whatever the case may be, I was inspired this week by a picture I found online and decided I needed a pair just for myself.

As auction season gears up, I am creating, of course, my rosaries. And I am trying out some new designs as well!

Back from a long dry spell!

I have been crafting lately and wanted to show the items I have been tossing around in my head. The necklace is something I made myself to feel "rosy" in the continual cold weather and the print document was the invitation to my parents wedding anniversary celebration.

Amy Butler!!!!

I recently made these two bags to give to a charity auction that my mother-in-law was involved with. The smaller one is called "The Sophia Carry-All" and the larger one is "The Weekender Bag." I modified some from the original design, only because of the time I had to make them and send them in a certain amount of time. I really love how they turned out and now I plan on making a set for myself from the same fabric.

Gabe's Rosary

As promised, here is Gabe's rosary. It really turned out! His birthstone is pearl so he picked out the blue colored pearls because he thought they were "manly" enough for him! He is such the little man.

Pearl and Crystal Inspired!

I made two rosaries for my nieces, Bailey and Carly, who celebrated their First Holy Communion this past weekend. I used glass beads in their birthstone color with clear glass beads and bead caps to highlight each decade. Then my son Gabriel mentioned that I never made one for him. So we headed after school to the craft store for him to pick out the kind of beads he wanted me to use. His birthstone is the pearl, so he chose a blue/silver pearl with blue glass beads for each of his decades. In the time he did his chores, I finished it and had it waiting for him. Close up of the girl's beads.
After I was done with his rosary, I made myself a new pair of earrings using a kind of light gold pearls and bead caps like the ones I used in my niece's rosary but in a gold finish.

I will post a pic of Gabe's rosary tomorrow.

Almost Finished!

Here's the last group of things I needed to catch the world up on. I'm experimenting with a few new purse styles and whether or not they would sell if I made them...
